Who is right and who is wrong in this situation?

no one's wrong but Nicole is a bit right-er, lol. Kayla has no right to ask Nicole to take care of the dog since she was the one who brought it home and she and her mom were the ones who took all responsibility for it. Since she's gonna be away and won't be able to take care of the dog, then the responsibility is mom's. So the mom should step up and do what she has promised to do when they decided to take the dog in. and if she occasionally has to be away for a couple of hours, she should find someone else, maybe the father, to look after the dog. They have no right to force Nicole into doing it since she clearly stated that she didn't want to have anything to do with it so she doesn't have to sacrifice anything from her life for your decision to go away to college or your mom's going out to dinners if she doesn't want to. Yes, it would be nice of her if she did, but she doesn't have to.
