Why when people question the existence of Jesus, do christians bring up Julius Caesar?

Is it just that they don't understand history? Because we do have plenty of reliable evidence that supports the existence of Julius. We know what Caesar looked like, and we have writings by him, his friends, his enemies, and impartial observers. Personally, I agree with most historians and believe that it is quite possible that Jesus did exist, but I'm positive about Julius Caesar.
