What should i do about my gypsy banner/fresian cross?

my gypsy vanner just had a Colt. his father is my fresian, Ahearn. i read up and it said they are the two highest maintenance breeds of horse. should i keep him, or give him to my neighbor, who wants him. (my neighbor is eight, that's why i'm doubtful. he also had his dog taken away by the aspca because he neglected it.) my parents are impartial, and say i either keep it or send it next door. i cant put it up on ebay or Craig's list. should i keep it???
